DSL Broadband Internet Services
We normally view ADSL and SDSL as purely a means of internet connectivity, however, Micro-e offers a service enabling the creation of a private network using ADSL or SDSL. Businesses are able to benefit from a cost-effective alternative to traditional frame relay, leased line and ISDN WAN networks.

The key to this is being able to provide DSL in terms of a link but without access to the internet. Micro-e provides the infrastructure requirements and underlying technologies to offer Partners and Corporate clients all the elements of Private DSL service delivery. Most ISP’s do not have this ability. |
The service uses L2TP (Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol) - rather than being dependent on Layer 3 (the IP layer) - offering a higher level of management and security of the network.
If public internet access is required at any of or all of the sites in the network this can be centralised at either the key end user site or our datacentre. This access can then be channelled through a single router resulting in the requirement for only one firewall with one rule set and not at each site further improving security and cost saving.
